Hyundai City Corporation is developing the self-sufficient Taean Tourism & Leisure City in District B of Cheonsu Bay, Taean County, South Chungcheong Province. With a total area of 15.46 km2 under development, the city will seamlessly combine recreational, residential and industrial functions. For this project, the company created the dedicated brand La Tierra (meaning “land” in Spanish), which represents the vision of a futuristic city endowed with the vital forces of the land. The amazing story of how a section of Cheonsu Bay was reborn as farmland, and is now being transformed into a city, expresses the intrepid and innovative spirit of the Taean Tourism & Leisure City. The people-centered, futuristic city that Hyundai City Corporation is building will include a wide range of interlocking urban functions, including golf courses, theme parks, smart residential complexes, commercial business facilities, and an industrial complex for smart mobility and renewable energy.
